All pharmacies in Lombardy that perform rapid antigen swabs operate on the basis of the rules indicated by the Protocol of the Extraordinary Commissioner Figliuolo, which provides, until March 31, 2021, for a maximum controlled price of €15.
Based on the resolutions of the Lombardy Region to which reference is made, issued frequently as the pandemic phase evolves, in some cases citizens are entitled to free swabs.
This is the biological sample collection service for performing the molecular swab.
The COVID-19 molecular test is performed in one of the participating pharmacies partnered with an accredited analysis laboratory.
Pharmacies participating in this service are visible and can be consulted via the Farmacia Aperta web and mobile application.
No, pharmacies generally perform the rapid swab and/or molecular swab service only on certain days and time slots. For example, in most cases pharmacies do not perform swabs on Sundays.
We recommend contacting the desired pharmacy in advance at the contact details visible on Farmacia Aperta (phone and/or email) or consulting its website (also indicated, if available, in the pharmacy’s profile on the Farmacia Aperta app).
Pharmacies that wish to do so can publish their availability schedules via the web app https://agende.farmacia-aperta.eu/
As of the date (19-10-2023), it is possible to publish schedules for the 7 institutional services (Rapid swabs, Streptococcus test, Extra-SSR flu vaccines, ECG, Blood pressure Holter, Cardiac Holter and Spirometry) and for 3 “free” services at the discretion of each pharmacy.
The access credentials for the service in question are the same already used by pharmacies for all services of the Association, thanks to the single sign-on (SSO) authentication system.
In case of access and/or schedule configuration problems, please contact your provincial reference association.
